The Runaround

Well, I ate a burrito but he didn’t like me
so he made his escape somewhat anal-ly
when I grabbed the handle to wash him away
the toilet complained and the water wouldn’t drain

So I picked up the phone and I dialed a plumber
and the automatic woman said, “Please press a number…
one for a hairball, two for human waste,
o numero tres si no habla engles”

I get the runaround (oo)
I get the runaround (oo-oo-oo)
I get the runaround (oo)
I get the runaround

Now the water was washing all across the floor
soaking my socks, headed up to my drawers
But my call was important to them, I was told
so I took a deep breath and I continued to hold

CHORUS

Well, my wife took the kids to her mom’s – she was livid
and I got me a pool that only a fool would swim in
I decided to pray when I heard the operator say,
“God’s pretty busy— please try your call again later.”

CHORUS (2x)

“The moral of this story is:
Eat your veggies, kids.”
